These bulbs produce tall and very attractive flowers. PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS: Plant in garden soil with crest of bulb protruding from soil. Keep moist, grow in partial shade and fertilize once a month (after growth appears). Blooms from Christmas to early spring. Protect bulb from frost.

TIPS FOR GROWING FERNS SUCCESSFULLY: Grow in container or hanging basket is great. Daily misting helps. Don't let them totally dry out. They will need filtered light. Flourescent lighting is fine. You can give them miracle grow about every two weeks 16-2-6 (Nitrogen/Phosphate/Potassium) fertilizer or Jobe's plant food spikes (palm spike plant food once a year), that you stick into the soil, or weak strength, african violet liquid plant food. Follow directions and always make sure that the soil is thoroughly wet before giving fertilizer. Ferns like acid soil (woodsey soil) same fertilizer as azaleas and good drainage.

Unusual Succulent Chandelier Plant, Kalanchoe tubiflora (Bryophyllum tubiflorum) from Madagascar.
Varies in size from a few inches to over three feet. The name tubiflora MAY come from the tubular shaped flowers. Blooming Habits: The Kalanchoe tubiflora produces beautiful reddish coral pink, bell-shaped flowers in winter, the flowering stem dies after blooming. Propagation: This plant is fairly common in cultivation because of the speed at which it multiplies if the conditions are right. The production of bulbils is related to the growing conditions. In good conditions, the production is limited, the plant grows rapidly, and blooms. In poorer conditions, the plant reproduces mostly vegetatively, producing large quantities of bulbils, and takes years to bloom. The flowering stem dies after blooming.

Fragrant WHITE STAR FLOWER JASMINE (Jasminum officinale) is hardy in zones 9 and 10. I'VE BEEN GATHERING SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION HERE FOR YOU: Mature Height/Spread: This Jasmine grows to a height of 10 to 15 feet as a lanky, semi-vining shrub. When grown as a vine, its arching branches can be supported on an arbor or trellis. To grow it as a shrub prune it frequently. The very fragrant, white flowers are up to 1 inch in diameter and it can bloom all summer and into the fall. The rich green leaves have five to nine leaflets, each up to 2½ inches long. Growth Rate: Jasmine is moderately fast-growing. It grows 12 to 24 inches a year. Landscape Use: Plant jasmine near the house or near a walk so its intense fragrance can be enjoyed and so you can watch hummingbirds and butterflies come to the flowers. Cultivation: Jasmine prefers partial shade and a warm site. It grows well in regular garden soil with moderate levels of soil fertility and moisture, and it will eventually need frequent pinching and shaping to control growth. If kept pruned it can make a good hedge. Jasmine will bush out and will need room to grow. Give it at least 8 feet of space to grow in a shrub border. If you are growing it in a container, best time to plant is in the fall. Problems: Jasmine is relatively problem-free.

Star flower jasmine is an evergreen vine or sprawling shrub. Used as ground covers , hanging baskets , or climbers .
The new foliage is glossy light green; mature leaves lustrous dark green.
Flowers are star shaped, white , to 1 inch across , profuse in small clusters on short side branches , fragrant .
Slow to start but eventually moderately fast growing.
To grow as a vine you can provide support and use heavy cord to lead it in the direction you wish it to take or use a trellis. Train on posts, baffels, walls, fences, trellises wherever its fragrance can be enjoyed, or where night lighting can pick out the white blossoms. Cut back older plants about 1/3 each year to prevent inner growth becoming too woody and bare.
To grow as a ground cover , set plants 2 to 3 feet apart. Cut back upright shoots to promote branching. Feed in spring and late summer . Use in raised beds, entry gardens, for edging along walks or drives to extend lawn, or to cover ground under trees and shrubs.

It is native to the West Indies. Produces clusters of small tubular light green to creamy white fragrant flowers at night, an evergreen shrub grows to 12 ft tall. The second picture here shows the mother plant with new bloom here. It has a wonderful fragrance here! This is a tropical plant. This beautiful plant can be grown in a container where the winters are severe and used as a houseplant. If the top does die down from a frost then, you can just prune off the dead branches and it should begin to come back from the healthy roots. Can be cut back after blooms. It likes bright light, partial sun, temperatures above 50 degrees F. Fertilize once a month.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS FOR GINGER: In warmer regions, plant Ginger in light shade, but in northern gardens plant it in full sun. Give it plenty of water. If you grow it in a container in the North, move it into a cool storage area before frost. Let the tops of the plants dry and turn yellow then trim them off. Water it every month just to keep the roots from drying out. In the spring, move it to a sunny, sheltered place to start top growth. Dig the roots with a spading fork just before frost. If you've grown it in a container, dump out the roots or feel for them with your hands. Store them at room temperature. PROPAGATING: Plant pieces of root in a shallow 5 to 10 gallon container of potting soil or sand. After it sprouts and forms a good root system, transplant it to the garden spaced 12 inches apart.

The BUTTERFLY GINGER is famous for its very fragrant white flower that is shaped like a butterfly.
This plant has lush green foliage and grows four to six feet tall.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Plant in humus soil four inches deep. Keep moist before growth appears, then water frequently. Grows best in partial shade. Fertilize every six weeks after growth appears until August. Blooms September thru October. In warmer regions foliage will stay green year round. Colder areas should protect bulb from freezing.

You can grow these golden flowers with dark brown centers.
Grow Black Eyed Susan Rudbeckia from seeds.
These are nice for naturalizing and a favorite for cut flower bouquets. They are easy to grow and tolerate a wide range of conditions. They prefer full sun and well drained soil. Zones 4-9.
